A beautiful ritual
June 25. The chicks are very aware that another parent has arrived to feed them. After this feeding the parent's mate arrived. The parents performed a beautiful ritual, calling the chicks to leave the nest and fly with them. Every time a chick flew to them they made a short flight with it through the trees, then landed to call the remaining chicks from the nest. (continued...) |
