Approach

• I used the benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring method for my experiment.
• Benthic means "bottom-dwelling" and macroinvertebrate means "an invertebrate that is possible to see with the naked eye."
• I used this method because it is possible for a layperson to do it without a lot of expensive equipment.
• I know it is reliable because many state governments use it to monitor water quality in streams and creeks.
